Studio Etiquette

Before you come to the studio:

Here are a few tips and bits of info that are helpful to ensure you have a good experience during your visit!

- Please be sure to eat at least 2 hours before coming to your appointment. Everyone reacts differently to having a body modification procedure, eating ensures you are keeping your blood sugar up and helping lower your risk for feeling faint or sick (which is common with low blood sugar, especially if you are a little anxious).

- Appointments ARE required.  We work strictly by appointment, and as a private studio. Whenever we are able to accommodate someone last minute we can, however calling ahead is a good idea.

- Bring your ID! Yes, even if we know you, you must bring your Identification. This is required by state law, and we are all about following the rules. Forms of identification that are acceptable are: US Drivers License or a Passport.

- CLIENTS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: We do not serve any minor under the age of 16.  All piercings and tattoos being performed on any minor require a “Consent to Tattoo a Minor” or “Consent to Pierce a Minor” form. This form must be filled out by the consenting legal guardian, notarized, and consenting guardian must be present with I.D. This is completely non-negotiable, as it is required by Florida State law. The links to the forms are below.

- PIERCINGS FOR MINORS: We do not offer any piercings on any individual under the age of sixteen years old. There are some piercings that are not offered to anyone under 18, please inquire via phone, email, or through Facebook or stop in if you have any questions!

- Appropriate attire for your procedure, think about what you will be getting the day of your appointment. Examples: Are you getting a thigh piece? Wear some loose shorts. Are you a female, getting a sternum tattoo? A bikini top is always a great choice to keep yourself covered, yet leaves the tattoo area accessible. Foot tattoo? Break out your flippy floppies. It is usually a bit chilly in the shop, so a jacket or sweatshirt is also good to bring in case you get a little cold. One last thing: Don't wear anything constrictive over the area you are getting tattooed, you have to let it breathe!.

- We accept both cash or credit cards.

- Tipping. This is a sensitive topic, and we want to make sure we make ourselves clear. In our minds, tipping is ALWAYS appreciated, but NEVER expected. There is no right or wrong amount, you give what you want to. Heck, some clients bring us food and gifts and that’s rad too. Just don’t over think things.

- Please respect our time as we respect yours. When you book an appointment, please be prompt. If you are running late, or cannot make it, please just let us know so we aren’t waiting around for you and in turn, make other clients wait unnecessarily.

- Arrive sober. It should go without saying, but if we have reason to believe you may be under the influence of drugs and or alcohol, we will not be able to serve you.

- Be Flexible:

(Piercings) Not every piercing is suitable for every person, and although we want to make you happy, we first value your health. We will always try to find other suitable options to ensure you have the easiest time healing and still making you sparkle and shine.

(Tattoos) Our artists try to offer the best custom designs possible. If you bring in a particular design in, be flexible with your artist. Not every design will work on every body part, just as not every poster or picture you see translates well into a tattoo. We love for our clients to bring in photos of things you like, not necessarily needing to be the exact thing you want. That way, our artists can use those photos for creative direction to design something just for you!

- Pick your artist! We aren’t going to force you to go to any one artist. We understand that everyone has their own styles and personalities. We want you to not only love the art, but who put it there as well. Building that kind of relationship is amazing.

- Minors in the shop:  Unless a minor is being served, we politely ask to leave the kids at home. Over the years, working in many studios, our team has seen the effects of not only the staff but more importantly, the other clients. Tattoo and Piercing Studios have biohazard materials, chemicals and such. Not only that, it is an adult environment where a lot of clients come to escape from every day life. Its "your special day" as we say here. Please be respectful of this request for both the artists and other guests.

- Out of town clients: If you are visiting our famous beach next door, and are here on vacation, please plan accordingly. Keep in mind that tattoos and piercings cannot be submerged in any bodies of water during the healing process.  If you are here for a week, plan to get your new body adornment closer to the day you are leaving. You don’t want to miss out on pools, the ocean, the springs or hot tubs!
